Our commitment to passengers during coronavirus

Dear Kaypi Customer

We are all in the uncertainty of what is going to happen in the following months with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic that is spreading throughout the world, due to these uncertainties Peru was one of the first countries in Latin America to take extreme measures.

The Peruvian government declared a national state of emergency on March 15 at 8:00 PM Peru local time.

All borders (land, air, and maritime) were closed as of 11:59 PM on March 16.

Under the state of emergency, Peru is enacting 15 days of mandatory quarantine, starting at midnight on March 16.  This is extended now until April 12 and it will probably be extended until first week of May.

Quarantine exemptions will include movement to obtain food and medical care.

These strict measures have helped the Peruvian people to considerably reduce the number of infections; making the virus not to spread too much throughout the territory.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 virus and the timely closure of borders, all tourism-related activities were stopped and all tourist attractions in the country closed, due to this, thousands of tourism-related jobs were affected and small local companies like us too.

The wisest thing we can do to avoid the total fall of tourism activity in a small country like Peru is to avoid cancellation that affects the entire economy and people who live day by day such as: local guides, local porters, local drivers, local host families, transfers.

The best way to cope with all this is to move your reservations for future dates since the companies that are involved in all the activity are offering flexibility to do this. Please see below:

ABOUT POSTPONING YOUR TRIP.

Airlines:

Due to government measures; international and national flights to and from Peru are cancelled until April 12; however, this can be extended to the end of April due to Covid-19. We will keep you updated if this will be extended over May.

Nevertheless; All airlines are being flexible with date changes without penalty depending on ticket regulations. Tickets that are affected until April 30, 2020 to travel until Dec 31, 2020. If you want to modify your ticket for 2021, we will review the regulations and extra costs.
