During the last years, the Rainbow Mountain has been considered such as one of the most important attractions in Peru, it is relatively a new tourist attraction that is famous thanks to social media. There are multiples Rainbow Mountains located in the Andes of Peru due to the humidity, the Sun and the different kinds of minerals that compose the mountains.
The Rainbow Mountain that we visit is Palcoyo “Huallata Cunca” located in the Combapata district, around 4 hours from Cusco City.
The main attraction of this place is the 3 colorful rainbow-shaped mountains located very close to the parking spot.
This walk is the best option to see majestic landscapes and the 7-color mountain, with a walk that doesn’t require much effort
The hiking time is just 45 minutes in a gentle incline route.
