The sacred valley of the Incas is one of the places that you definitely have to visit during your stay in Cusco. So it’s considered sacred because the river running there had religious importance for the Incas because was consider the continuation of the sidereal river or milky way.
The entire valley has many places to visit but the most important are: Chinchero Textile Center and Archeological park, The salt mines of Maras, Moray Inca Site and Ollantaytambo Archeological Inca Site.
The sacred valley tour will start around 8 am when your tour guide will pick you up in our private transportation and take you to the first stop. In the textile center of Chinchero, in this place you will learn about the Peruvian textiles, the ladies who are a member of cooperatives are going to explain to you all about the textiles. Continue with the other places, the lunch is not included but your tour guide will take you to a restaurant in Urubamba (sacred valley) town where you will able to enjoy the real Peruvian buffet food.
After this short stop we will continue with the sacred valley driving until Moray Archeological center, to have a guided tour, Moray was a crop experimental garden where the terraces have a different microclimate between each other.
Our next stop will be Maras that is located 40 minutes from Moray. In Maras have located the salt mines, more than 2000 small pools full of pure salt.
So we will visit Ollantaytambo, the living city of the Incas. Consequently where we will visit the archeological center, the temples, and terraces of this incredible place where some of the stones have more than 350 tons.
We will be in Cusco at around 5 pm.
