Lima

Detailed itinerary of the Peru Diversity Tour:
Day 1: Flight from USA to Lima.
The tour will start with your international flight from the USA to Lima – Peru, Our flights are operated by commercial airlines and they leave from different cities in the USA and have different duration and arrival times.
Day 2: City tour in Lima “gastronomical capital of south america”.
After getting the airport in Lima a representative of Kaypi Peru Tours will pick you up to take you to the hotel in Miraflores area. (Just take note that our representative will wait for you with a banner of our company “GREEN KAYPI HUMMINGBIRD” in the international arrival area).
Once to get the Hotel in Miraflores area you will have time to rest and have your breakfast included, after your breakfast around 09:00 am the City tour of Lima will begin with your private transportation and private tour guide, you will visit the following places:
– Miraflores Downtown and the Park of Love.
– Historical Center of Lima, the Country Hall, the Cathedral.
– San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs.
You will spend the night in Lima City
Day 3: Flight to the white city Arequipa – free afternoon.
Our representative will pick you up to take you to Lima airport where you will catch the flight to the second biggest city in Peru, The White City Arequipa, upon your arrival to the airport our representative will pick you up and take you to the hotel.
The Afternoon is free of activities but the downtown of the city where your hotel is located offers multiple things to do such as The Monastery of Santa Catalina or La Campiña Arequipeña.
You will spend the night in Arequipa City.
Day 4: On the way to the Colca Canyon – hotel night in Chivay.
The day will begin with your breakfast and the next bus ride to Chivay town, the bus ride will be 5 hours approximately and along the way, you will see multiple little villages and alpacas, vicuñas and llamas, you will make some stops for taking pictures of the beautiful landscapes.
Once to arrive in Chivay, you will have time for lunch and time to enjoy this beautiful native village, you can go to the thermal baths that are located close to the town.
You will spend the night in Chivay City.
Day 5: On the way to the Colca canyon – bus to Puno – hotel night.
The wake-up time will be very early in the morning to have a light breakfast and take the bus to the Cruz Del Condor where you will have the opportunity to see the majestic flight of the Condors. If you are lucky you will see all the members of this majestic family and after seeing the condors, you will go back to Chivay where you will have lunch before leaving for going to Puno. You will get the Puno city around 7 pm.
You will spend the night in Puno City.
Day 6: Titicaca lake tour, uros floating islands and amantani homestay
Peru Diversity Tour in Puno:
The day will begin with your breakfast at the hotel, after your breakfast the tour guide and our local transportation will pick you up to take you to the harbor where you will be able to buy some stuff as a present for the host families, the presents will be staff that you can bring from your country as well.
After 30 minutes boat ride you will arrive in the Uros floating islands where you will have a meeting with this pre-Inca civilization and will be able to learn about their daily life and how to build their reet islands, you will have time to enjoy the time with them.
Around 11:00 am you will leave the floating islands and will reach Amantani natural island for a lunchtime, here is where we will be divided into small group to follow and live with different families, the lunch will be vegetarian and will be included in your tour, after lunch you will have time to rest before having the opportunity to trek to the top of the mountain (4150 m.a.s.l) to see the Temples of Pachamama and Pachatata and enjoy the traditional customs of the island people.
Food and authentic music prepared and performed by your designated family.
You will spend the night in Amantany Island.
Day 7: Titicaca lake tour, Taquile island, and boat back to Puno city
This day, Peru Diversity Tour will begin after your breakfast in the family house, when we will take a short boat ride to the neighboring Taquile Island, where we will tour around the town, plaza and visit these beautiful people, world-famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, they were named as Immaterial heritage of the world by UNESCO.
Have the opportunity to visit their market, after your typical lunch, we take the return trip to Puno where we will spend the night in the same hotel, the boat ride back to Puno will be 3 hours approximately.
You will arrive in Puno with enough time to continue with your exploring of the city.

Day 8: On the way to the ancient capital of the inkas, hotel night in Cusco
We will pick you up at 6:30 am to take you to the bus station where you will take the bus to Cusco. This is the most noteworthy bus trip in the south of Peru that probably is more like a tour – it stops at four interesting sites along the way where you have guided tours:
– Pukara: This is the most important and oldest ceremonial center in the altiplano.
– La Raya: This is the half-way point between Cusco and Puno (14300 feet’), in other words, the highest point of your tour.
– Sicuani: you will have a really nice buffet lunch included in this town.
– Raqchi (Wiracocha God Temple): This was an Inca temple of monumental dimensions.
– Andahuyalillas: Sistine chapel of South America, a Catholic church.
After your arrival to Cusco City, a representative of Kaypi Peru tours will pick you up and take you to the hotel in Cusco.
You will spend the night in Cusco City.
Day 9: Free day in Cusco city, hotel night in Cusco
The day is yours to do as you wish. Kaypi Peru Tours does offer extra day tours and excursions in Cusco for an additional price. The highlight in Cusco is the SACRED VALLEY TOUR, but we have more options for you such as:

You will spend the night in Cusco City.
Day 10: On the way to Machupicchu – hotel night in Machupicchu town
After breakfast at the hotel, we continue with the Peru diversity Tour, the tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the train station. You must bring a valid passport for all train travel. The train ride is 1 hour and 45 minutes or 3 hours depending on your train number and train station. After your arrival at Aguas Calientes, known as Machu Picchu town, our representative will pick you up and take you to your new hotel. The rest of the day is yours. You can visit the Orchid museum, The museum Chavez Ballon or Machupicchu site museum or the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes.
You will spend the night in Machupicchu town.
Day 11: Machupicchu tour and train back to Cusco city, hotel night in Cusco
After your breakfast in the hotel, your tour guide will pick you up to take you to the bus station, where you will take the bus up to the majestic Machu Picchu. Once there, you will begin your guided walking tour. Afterward, you will have time to explore the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu by yourself.
You must bring a valid passport for entry into Machu Picchu. After enjoying Machu Picchu, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch, grab your bags at the hotel, and then take a train back to Cusco or Ollantaytambo, where a representative of Kaypi Peru tours will pick you up to take your Cusco hotel for the night.
You will spend the night in Cusco City.
Day 12: Transfer to the airport, flight to Lima and to the USA.
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the airport where you will catch the flight to Lima and the connection flight to the USA.
