Itinerary of Peru Amazon tour
This tour package includes an international flight from your hometown to Lima. After your landing, you will have a city tour in Lima to visit the most impressive attractions of the city. After some days, you will fly to Puerto Maldonado to begin in the Peruvian Jungle with a boat trip to the lodge. After lunch, you will have hikes and guided tours all around the jungle, introducing you to the Amazon.
The tour continues with the flight to Cusco City, where you will have a free day when you can do the Sacred Valley tour. This is a really famous place with attractions that you have to visit. At the end of the tour, Kaypi Peru Tour will give you the opportunity to visit the famous citadel of Machu Picchu, the most famous attraction to visit in Perú, named by UNESCO as one of the new seven wonders of the world.
Itinerary of Peru Amazon tour
Day 1: Flight from the USA to Lima.
The tour will start with your international flight from the USA to Lima, Perú. Our flights are operated by commercial airlines and they leave from different cities in the USA and have different durations and arrival times.
Day 2: City Tour in Lima, “Gastronomical Capital of South America”.
After getting to the airport in Lima, a representative of Kaypi Peru Tours will pick you up to take you to the hotel in the Miraflores area. (Just take note that our representative will wait for you with a banner of our company “GREEN KAYPI HUMMINGBIRD” in the international arrival area).
Once get to the Hotel in the Miraflores area, you will have time to rest and have your breakfast included. After your breakfast, around 09:00 am, the City tour of Lima will begin with your private transportation and private tour guide. You will visit the following places:
– Miraflores Downtown.
– Historical Center of Lima and its attractions.
– San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs.
You will spend the night in Lima City.
Day 3: Free day in Lima.
After having breakfast in the hotel, you will have a completely free day in the gastronomical capital of South America, and depending on the time that you have can coordinate some of the activities that we can recommend to you:

Day 04: Flight to Puerto Maldonado – Peruvian Jungle Tour.
Our day will start with your pick up from the hotel to take you to the airport to catch the flight to Puerto Maldonado. Once arrive there, we will transfer you to the City where we will get on our boat and begin the unforgettable journey through the Madre de Dios River. On the way, you could observe the alligators, turtles, herons, and other animals.
Arriving at the lodge, you will enjoy the exquisite typical welcome drink, and then you will settle into comfortable bungalows to have your lunch. With the help of our specialized guide, we will visit Monkey Island, located only five minutes from the lodge, in the middle of the Madre de Dios River.
The monkey island hosts different monkey species: starting from the noisy ones, the Maquisapas, the happy Achuñis, and the very impressive Frailes, to the very little and funny “leoncitos”, little lions.
On the way to the Island, you will see very beautiful landscapes with all the flora and fauna that they host, as well as the amazing sunset in the jungle.
Day 05: Jungle Tour Apu Victor.
The day will start with the beautiful birds singing. We’ll start our journey with a hike to the depths of the woods, special paths with britches to cross the gaps. During the journey, we will observe the caiman’s cave. Then we will continue and arrive at the majestic Apu Victor Lake, beautiful, crystalline waters, surrounded by huge swamps, giant trees.
Later we will climb up our Amazon Peru Tours Observatory, where We will have a panoramic view of the lake, we will observe parrots, guacamayos, toucans, camungo, shanshos, herons, and If we are lucky enough we could observe one of the most spectacular animals of the jungle, the giant nutria, Then after many hours, we will return to the lodge and lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Gamitana river, which is born in the heart of the jungle.
On its shores, we could observe turtles, caimans, butterflies, and some other animals. You may swim in its waters. Then return and have dinner.
Day 06: Jungle Tour, The Lost Lake.
After breakfast, we will start an adventure in the virgin rainforest, and accompanied by a local guide, we´ll go on a hike in the deep jungle, to get to the Lost Cocha, which constitutes a refuge and feeding ecosystem for a huge variety of animals. There, we´ll have the chance to observe Otters, Caimans, Turtles, Sachavacas (Tapirs), Birds with multicolored feathers, the majestic Jaguar, and a variety of fish species. This area is unique and proper to the Ecoamazonia´s Ecological Reserve, which maintains it intact, with huge swamps and diverse “aguajales”.
Day 7: Jungle Tour and Flight to Cusco.
The day will begin with your last breakfast in the Jungle, and after that, your boat and private Bus will take you to the airport to take your flight to Cusco.
Once arrive in Cusco, we will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel located in the city center.
You will spend the night in Cusco City.
Day 8: Walking tour in the Ancient Capital of the Incas.
After your breakfast in the hotel, you will start with the walking city tour and along the way, you’ll visit:
– Plaza de Armas (Cusco’s main square).
– Plaza Nazarenas.
– The San Blas neighborhood.
– The Twelve Angle Stone.
– Plaza San Francisco, and the Mercado Central de San Pedro.
The afternoon is free of scheduled activities, giving you time to explore the city by yourself.

Day 9: Free day in Cusco city – Optional tours available.

Day 10: On the way to Machupicchu – Hotel night in Machupicchu town
After breakfast at the hotel, your tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the train station. You must bring a valid passport for all train travel. The train ride is 1 hour and 45 minutes or 3 hours, depending on your train number and train station. After your arrival in Aguas Calientes, known as Machu Picchu town, our representative will pick you up and take you to your new hotel. The rest of the day is yours. You can visit the Orchid museum, the museum Chavez Ballon, or Machupicchu site museum, or the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes.
You will spend the night in Machu Picchu town.
Day 11: Machupicchu Tour and Train back to Cusco City, Hotel night in Cusco
You will have your breakfast in the hotel, and then your tour guide will pick you up and take you to the bus station, where you will take the bus up to the majestic Machu Picchu. Once there, you will begin your guided walking tour. Afterward, you will have time to explore the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu by yourself.
You must bring a valid passport for entry into Machu Picchu. After enjoying Machu Picchu, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch, grab your bags at the hotel, and then take a train back to Cusco or Ollantaytambo, where a representative of Kaypi Peru tours will pick you up to take your Cusco hotel for the night.

Day 12: Transfer to the airport, flight to Lima, and to the USA.
